Some people say there is no big difference between products labeled “All Natural” and those with "USDA Certified Organic" labeling. They couldn't be more wrong. The benefits of buying certified organic foods versus those labeled “All Natural” is truly great and is very important to your health and the health of your family.
Part of being a conscious consumer is knowing the difference between products, products that APPEAR to be just as good as each other but when you look carefully, they really aren't the same. Being conscious of the differences -- being guaranteed and not being guaranteed -- will make a difference to your health. Not all “All Natural Products” or “Farm Fresh” have bad stuff in them … but given the regulations and strict certification of organic products, you just can’t know. There is NO guessing game with Certified Organic. Buying Certified Organic means you don’t have to wonder if this product really is “All natural” or if it has some stuff in it that you really don’t want to give to your family… And all the things that are important to you and your family are equally important to the families of those raising these products, and the earth that these crops are grown in. Part of that consciousness is that not only is your family safe, but their family is safe and the earth we all rely on has been well taken care of because you supported Organic.
Here’s some differences to consider:
THERE ARE required certifications for using the claim and mandatory yearly inspections to verify that:
1: NO toxic pesticides and herbicides are used
2: NO GMOs (genetically modified organisms) are used
3: NO Antibiotics are used
4: NO growth hormones are used
5: NO sewage sludge and irradiation is used
6: THERE ARE animal welfare requirements
7: THERE ARE lower levels of environmental pollution
8: THERE ARE audit trails from farm to table
The “All Natural” label cannot guarantee any of the above as none of the following is regulated under the All Natural label. THERE IS NOT a certifying agency for using this claim and the following practices so the following practices are all allowed:
1: THERE ARE toxic pesticides and herbicides allowed
2: THERE ARE (genetically modified organisms) allowed
3: THERE ARE Antibiotics allowed
4: THERE ARE growth hormones allowed
5: THERE ARE no standards for use of sewage sludge and irradiation
6: THERE ARE higher levels of environmental pollution than organic
7: NO animal welfare requirements
8: NO audit trails from farm to table … who knows where it’s been, how it was stored (or stored with or in or with what environmental controls), etc.
Is it really worth it to take chances with your health and that of your family? No, not at all! And Yes, “Certified Organic” usually costs a bit more. And it’s worth it!
Granola is too sugary and oatmeal is bland, these are the reasons Muesli Munch was formed. To create a breakfast cereal with all wholesome ingredients in every blend which provides a combination of great taste and nutritional benefits. We wanted our cereal crafted with only organic ingredients from nature, as all ingredients should be. Muesli Munch has 0g added sugars and healthy fat content from nuts and seeds instead of cheap filler oils. It’s also a versatile cereal that can be served quick with cold milk or yogurt or hot just like oatmeal. Our blends are a substantial meal that provide long lasting energy for the day.
We mix 100% whole grains, fruits, nuts, seeds and spices to provide a beneficial breakfast, as opposed to many granolas baked with sugar, oil and salt. Our passion and expertise is making premium breakfast cereal blends with quality as our top priority, we never cheapen our recipe formulations. Unlike many food corporations, which grow too fast, cut corners over time and diminish their original vision and quality as a result.
Not here, not us, Sean’s Muesli Munch sole mission is to provide a select few, top notch breakfast cereal blends, and only change with the tastes and preferences of our fans. In fact, due to overwhelming customer feedback, all of our blends are now gluten free. So we are listening. Keep the good words coming. We want to hear your feedback. Cheers! Sean
Sean's Organic Muesli Munch is a hybrid breakfast cereal that lies between traditional European muesli and American granola.
Granola is breakfast cereal combined primarily with oils, sweeteners, grains and often a few dried fruits, nuts and seeds that are all mixed together and baked to clump the mix together. It tends to be overly sweetened, overcooked and it really feels more like a heavy dessert.
But American's love the taste of granola and it’s easy to serve. It also makes a great snack. Unfortunately, it has a lot of calories hidden in its goodness. It's heavy and is usually prepared with lots of oil and sweetener and lacks nutritional value.
Traditional European muesli is light and healthy. However, it traditionally needs to be prepped the night before. And to that it's usually made with raw grains (that means unbaked, unroasted grains). The bottom line? More time and less flavor.
My goal with Sean's Muesli Munch is to bridge these two traditions by offering a hybrid cereal with all the quick-to-go flavor of American granola, and all the healthy goodness of European muesli. In other words, I wanted a cereal that would fit what Americans wanted in their cereal without giving up the flavor and fitting our fast lifestyle.
After a full year of experimenting, I came up with an American version of muesli that makes that bridge over to the great taste and on-the-go readiness of granola. Sean's Organic Muesli Munch is that cross-over cereal that is both a healthy and well-balanced blend of 3 toasted whole grains, 3 roasted nuts and seeds and 3 fruits and berries. The cereal is lightly toasted, has sweetness from organic dried fruits and feels light. Muesli Munch can be eaten daily to provide energy without weighing you down.
It's the best of both worlds.
So Go Kickstart Your Day! Sean
"So," you are asking yourself, "what makes it worth me switching from my current brand of morning cereal to Sean's Muesli Munch?
First of all, growing up on an organic subtropical fruit ranch on California's central coast, I learned early on that organic foods are the best tasting, the healthiest and the most beneficial for our ofttimes struggling environment. Here at Muesli Munch we follow that philosophy in everything we do. By creating handcrafted, small batch organic muesli cereal blends that are loaded with high quality organic grains, fruits, nuts and seeds, we make sure you are eating only the very best and freshest. By using steam rolled whole grains, and only adding sweetness that nature provides, and combining the tastiest organic nuts, fruits and whole grains in each blends you will have a unique taste that will give hours of energy and support a healthy diet.
Try each of our unique flavors, Pumpkin Pecan and Cranberry Coconut -- and later this summer Walnut Currant, and have a great start to an amazing day or a really swell snack along the way.
While Nature’s Path provides some decent organic cereals compared to the usual fare one sees down the typical grocery store aisles these day, there are still some major nutritional differences with one of the most highly touted health cereals in the US as compared to Muesli Munch. Of course, it's always great to see -- compared to large, nation wide non-organic cereal brands that are laced with all that high fructose corn syrup -- that cereal's like Nature's Path are far better than your garden variety cereal.
But all you have to do is compare Nature's Path nutrition facts to see the difference with Sean's Organic Muesli Munch. Let's take, for example, a Nature’s Path Love Crunch Granola, which is their premium brand of granola and compare it to Muesli Munch's Cranberry Coconut Muesli blend. Doubling the serving size of Nature’s Path (Dark Chocolate and Red Berries recipe) to match Muesli Munch Cranberry Coconut Muesli blend ( ½ cup serving size), and the difference in nutrition content is significant. As you see the side by side comparisons below, also remember that the quality of the product is not even being compared below. For example, as far as taste goes, at Sean's Muesli Munch, we greatly prefer regular dried berries as opposed to freeze-dried berries.
Muesli Munch (Cranberry Coconut) Has Much More Protein, Fiber And Whole Grains!
Muesli Munch also lists 16 vitamins and minerals on its nutrition facts box. Though only four are required, we want people to know the full nutritional benefits of Muesli Munch. Simply go online and print out any Muesli Munch blend's nutrition facts and compare them with Nature’s Path or any other granola out there. We know Muesli Munch will be giving you the best you can get.
Cheers! Sean
